Happy Halloween everybody! If you want a special sneak preview of my costume this year, go check out the webcam. And just to celebrate Halloween the web way, go and get some candy. Don't forget to say "trick or treat"! I just snagged a Macintosh Classic II from work today. I've been looking for one for a while and they had a closet full of them the whole time! I'm not exactly sure what I am going to do with it yet, but it's definitely nostalgic... Anyway...our agency party was pretty fun. Pics as promised:

Today is the official launch date of my buddy J's site (finally). Go check him out at HabitualChaos.org and tell him mike sent ya...Currently: Procrastinating on a few freelance and personal projects, scrambling to get my halloween costume together (pics forthcoming), and consuming massive quantities of Barq's famous red creme soda. Now where the hell did I put that damn wig?

Scooby Doo, where are you? I decided that today would be a good day to just relax and veg for a while. And what better thing to do on a saturday morning? That's right kids, cartoons! So, after rolling out of bed around 10:00 a.m. , I sleepily made my way into the kitchen to brew a fresh pot of coffee and anxiously prepare myself for that long forgotten saturday morning ritual. There I was, curled up on my couch...remote poised in one hand, mug in the other...and one big shit-eating grin on my face. No work…all play. Suddenly I was 8 again. I gently pressed the power button while letting out a sigh of content: ahhhh-h-h...what the fu…?…news...(click)…some stupid teen sitcom....(click)…infommercial...(click)…nothing…"…" What the hell had happened to all the cartoons? It had to be some kind of joke. No wait…a conspiracy…yea, that’s better…a conspiracy. But why? Who would do such a horrible thing? I needed answers and I needed them fast. I quickly ran to my computer and started to frantically search the web for any clue to this heinous crime. But again, just like the television…nothing. Someone was definitely trying to hide something… After that, I pretty much spent the rest of the day power cleaning my apartment…I tried to get my mind off the day’s earlier events, but it was no use. The same thought kept running through my head the entire time: "Man, I really gotta get cable".

Yet another reason why Goodwill rocks! The create your own costume at Goodwill site. Just one of the many examples: "Judge Judy: Take control of the party this Halloween. Wear a white blouse underneath a black graduation robe. Top it off with a curly wig and gravel." I still haven't been able to figure out what the gravel is for yet......Which reminds me...I still haven't figured out a costume for this Halloween yet either. Any one have any good ideas?

This is just too funny...The Milko Music Machine. Now you can produce your very own music video featuring...a cow? (link via loobylu)
Apparently some of my friends think they are funny...showing up at my apartment each with a single carnation. The story behind the matter is completely irrelevant at this point. Flattery will get you nowhere guys ;)

For some reason I thought that you could also get to designiskinky.net by also typing in dik.net. Wrong. Let's just say that I was a little surprised (and not pleasantly) with what showed up on my screen. Ironically, I guess it would be a little "kinky" for some people...<soapbox> In response to a few recent emails...I liked my old site a little better too (in terms of design). However, the "simpleness" of this layout is rather intentional. It's a place where I can easily manage and add content...collect my personal digital belongings, etcetera. Hence the title bar "Keep It Simple Stupid". It's a purely selfish thing I tell you...I shouldn't even be trying to explain myself. Someone also made a remark that I seem depressed all of the time. I find that one a little amusing. On the contrary, I am extremely happy, content, in touch with my inner self - yada, yada, yada. I'm not "waxing poetic" or anything...I just don't try to edit or disguise things. Besides, you can't judge a person just by a few comments that they have made. :P </soapbox> Now that that's off of my chest, I want you to know that I do have a few things up my sleeve still. It's a secret (and still in the conceptual stage)...but I can tell you that a more experimental space is in the works. Don't worry guys I'll keep you posted.

Haven't had very much to say lately. I've been kind of quiet...alone. A picture is supposed to be worth a thousand words, or so I've heard. I'm tired. It's actually around 1:30 a.m. - I need to go to bed. More later // Later // When in doubt, put on a good blues album. Currently in the player: Motion Picture Soundtrack for Rush (Clapton). I had to blow the dust off of that one...I almost forgot what a great album it is! On a side note, I was (attempting to) clean up some of my bookmarks when I ran across this.

I'm not much into politics and all, but goddamn is this funny! (link via J)My pile of laundry keeps growing to gargantuan proportions...plus I think I just saw a dust bunny lurking somewhere in the corner. Wouldn't it be cool to have a service that takes care of all your mundane household chores with just the push of a button? Yet another sign that I've turned into a complete webhead. In the meantime I guess it's time to break out the good old dustbuster. Yay...looks like k10k is back up and running! Phew...you guys were starting to make me a little nervous there. fling, flang, flu (it just sounded like a fun thing to say okay?)

I saw Almost Famous last night. I had my reservations about the movie at first, but it was actually pretty good. Kinda makes me wish I was born just a few years earlier. Now I just have to go and get the soundtrack…A couple of friends and I had a little time to kill before the movie, so we stopped in at Barnes and Noble to do a little browsing. That was a mistake - I ended up walking out of there with more than a few books. Among my purchases: Something else I'm not sure I believe: Martha Stewart Living : Scary Sounds of Halloween.

It's like a meat locker in my office...I swear it's like -20° in here. Does anyone know where I can get a good deal on a space heater? My hands are so cold I can hardly type. *Brrrr-r-rr* I've been really thinking a lot lately how I'd like to get back into my music. It's been a while since I've actually picked up my guitar and seriously tried to play anything. Sure I've piddled around alot, but not like I really want to. In fact it's been even longer since I tried to write anything. I think I want to be a rock star when I grow up.

Today is the official relaunch date of Immerse...and my birthday too (I couldn't think of a better day to resurface)! I know that it's been quite a while since anyone has heard from me...but I'm back and raring for action!Anyway...most of you will notice that Immerse has taken a more personal approach. I spent a long time on hiatus trying to figure out exactly what I was trying to accomplish here. I wanted this to be a personal storage space. A place where I could collect my thoughts, works, and whatever else I could come up with. Overall, it's been a lot of fun (and work)! It's going to be interesting to see how Immerse grows and develops over time. So please take the time to go through these pages - there are a lot of things to do and see. Feedback is appreciated. Communication encouraged. Recently developed: The Surrealist Domain Name Generator. Be forewarned - it's quite addicting!

Go check out this great article: David Boies: The Wired Interview. I think it gives a pretty good explanation of the entire Napster issue.

Okay, so i have known about this Wizard of Oz/Pink Floyd phenomenon for quite some time now. The person who wrote this article even went as far as showing screenshots where the movie and the "Darkside of the Moon" album seem to coincide. Kind of interesting...I really have to try doing this sometime. Right now I think I have the worst headache of my life, yet I remain in front of my computer with my eyes glued to the screen. Dummy.
